ElderTree is a private-pay service. What it costs depends on the level of support your family needs — a one-time assessment is very different from ongoing weekly oversight — so we talk it through openly before you commit to anything. The first 30-minute call is free, and there’s no obligation.

No, we are a private-pay service; however, we assist with Medicaid resources.

No, we do not accept referral fees; our recommendations are unbiased.

Many placement services are paid by the communities they recommend. We are not — so when we suggest a provider or a facility, that recommendation reflects your loved one’s needs and nothing else.

Yes, our care managers provide round-the-clock support. Care needs don’t keep business hours — when something happens at 2am, someone who knows your family’s situation is reachable.

ElderTree’s care managers are members of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA), the national professional body for the field — members are designated Aging Life Care Professionals, and are expected to meet ALCA’s standards of practice and code of ethics. ElderTree has practiced care management in the Washington DC region since 2004.

Yes. Your family is assigned a dedicated care manager who serves as your primary point of contact and stays accountable for your loved one’s care. You work with the same person throughout — someone who knows the history, the preferences, and the plan — rather than explaining your situation again to whoever picks up. That care manager is backed by ElderTree’s wider team when a situation calls for it.

For families who live far from their loved one, ElderTree provides peace of mind by acting as a local advocate. We handle care coordination, schedule and manage appointments, and keep families informed with real-time updates. With 24/7 availability, families can feel connected and confident, even when they can’t be there in person.

If your loved one lives far away from you and they don’t have a strong support system, we can help. If you live locally but are feeling overwhelmed by your loved one’s care needs — whether it’s handling medical appointments, managing a health crisis, or planning for long-term support — care management can help. ElderTree provides guidance, advocacy, and 24/7 support, giving families clarity, confidence, and peace of mind.

Not sure whether it’s the right fit? Book a free 30-minute call and we’ll help you figure that out.
